Operator checklists
Print these before cutoff, Panama bookings, or quote comparisons. Checkboxes are for paper or PDF print — mark them offline.
1. Pre-cutoff load plan
- SKU list locked (dims, weight, qty, fragile / this-way-up flags)
- Container type and internal limits match the booking
- Pallet vs floor-load decision recorded
- Stack height and rotation rules match warehouse practice
- Utilization and leftover cartons reviewed in the optimizer
- PDF / JSON load plan exported for the floor and the forwarder
- Cutoff, VGM, and docs deadline on the same calendar
2. Panama overweight / draft
- Current Neopanamax TFW draft confirmed for the transit week
- Booking max cargo (kg) entered — not guessed from a draft rumor
- Cargo density vs cube checked (worksheet)
- Tare + cargo gross vs line and canal constraints
- Heavy SKUs re-stowed or split before the draft step-down date
- East Coast vs all-water alternative costed if overweight
3. All-in quote audit
- Base ocean identified (FAK / commodity / contract)
- BAF / bunker line present and dated
- EFS / emergency fuel included or explicitly waived
- PSS / GRI status for the sailing week confirmed
- Origin and destination locals / THC listed
- Duty scenario applied (e.g. forced-labor 301 rate) on goods value
- Per-container all-in compared in the landed cost tool
- Cube plan checked so you are not buying an extra box to “save” on a soft index
